Who Are We
ORGANISATION CAPACITY IMPROVEMENT CONSULTANTS (OCIC) International is a private Organisation Development (OD) Company. OCIC evolved from several years of Management and Training Consultancy and Organisational Development (OD) Consultancy skills acquisition and practice of a number of OD practitioners including that of its current Chief Executive and International Director of Operations.
Established in 1990, OCIC has its headquarters in Heywood, England, United Kingdom. It is mainly an Organisation Development (OD) Consultancy company which seeks to enable organisations to help themselves. OCIC is driven by the following Mission and Values.
Our Mission
To provide business results as a reflection of effective, fulfilling and flexible team working using established and approved values to enable organisations to help themselves.
Our Values
- Theories are practical or we don’t use them
We work with practical realities not abstract theories. We value theories and concepts but only if they relate to practice.
- Focus on causes
We believe most organizations squander scarce resources on the treatment of symptoms instead of identifying and resolving root causes. We have the skills and techniques to help clients to avoid this trap.
- We respect effort, creativity and contribution from everyone
Many managers talk about "people" being the most important asset in their organisation but treat them less favourably than other resources. We believe in walking the talk.
- Not afraid of our clients
Many senior managers are surrounded by people who, for one reason or another, hesitate to tell them what they really need to know. We assume the client is paying us to tell the truth, even if it hurts. We pull no punches.
- Premium on excellence
Our demand for excellence applies to the quality of our consulting staff, the work they do, the materials they use and the concepts they present. We help our clients to evaluate the effectiveness of our efforts in an unusually exacting way.
- We work ourselves out of a job
Our role is not to solve client problems but to help clients enhance their own ability to solve problems. We set out to build the skills in the client organization, not to create dependency on our skills.
